Account Deletion

At Scrap Global, we respect your right to control your personal data. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data from our platform, please follow the steps outlined below. This page explains the account deletion process, what data will be deleted, and what data may be retained.

How to Request Account Deletion

To request the deletion of your Scrap Global account, please follow these steps:

  1. Send an email to scrapzoneglobal@gmail.com from the email address associated with your Scrap Global account.
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
  3. In the email body, include your username and full name as registered on the platform to help us verify your identity.
  4. Our team will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.
  5. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been successfully deleted.

Data Deleted & Data Retained

When your account is deleted, the following data will be handled as described below:

Data Type Action Timeframe
Profile Information (name, username, phone) Deleted Within 30 days
Email Address & Login Credentials Deleted Within 30 days
Product Listings Deleted Within 30 days
Shopping Cart Data Deleted Immediately
Uploaded Product Images Deleted Within 30 days
Order History Retained Retained for 1 year for legal & tax purposes
Transaction Records Retained Retained for 1 year as required by law

Important Information

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please make sure you want to proceed before submitting your request.

  • Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to log in or recover any data associated with it.
  • Any active product listings will be removed from the marketplace.
  • If you signed up using Google, the deletion applies only to your Scrap Global account data. Your Google account will not be affected.
  • Pending orders or transactions may need to be completed before your account can be fully deleted.
